Quinta do Noval Vintage Port is produced from the finest parcels of the Quinta do Noval estate, using traditional Douro varieties including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão and Sousão. The grapes are foot-trodden in the estate's granite lagares before ageing in wooden casks. The 2022 vintage was marked by extreme heat and drought across the Douro. Despite the challenging conditions, the vines remained healthy and produced small berries with remarkable concentration and purity. Noval described the year as producing wines with “great concentration and purity”, with profound, spicy and aromatic character. The result is a powerful and concentrated Vintage Port, combining intense dark fruit and spice with firm tannins, freshness and a long, structured finish. The 2022 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port was selected from only 6.6% of the estate's total Port production, with 2,600 cases produced.
