Lopez de Heredia - Viña Tondonia Tinto Reserva 2013

Lopez de Heredia:
"The wine shows a vibrant red color with a slight amber hue. On the nose, it offers a light and fresh texture with delicate notes of vanilla and dried red berries. The palate is rich, very dry, smooth, and fully developed, with firm tannins and excellent balance.
 
The blend consists of Tempranillo (75%), Garnacho (15%), and Graciano & Mazuelo (10%), all sourced from the estate’s own vineyards.
 
It is aged for six years in American oak barrels, racked twice a year, and clarified with fresh egg whites. Further bottle aging allows the wine to rest unfiltered, and it is bottled in 75 cl and 37.5 cl formats.
The alcohol content is 13% by volume, with a total acidity of 6.6 g/l, and the wine is very dry.
 
This Reserva pairs perfectly with all types of meat dishes, particularly a leg of new-season lamb stuffed with wild garlic, rosemary, and anchovies."
