Tenuta Rapitalà Chardonnay Conte Hugues 2023

Organic Chardonnay from Camporeale, in the province of Palermo, Sicily, grown at 450–500 meters above sea level with a north-south orientation on clay-sandy soils. The vineyards are trained using the traditional Guyot system.
 
The grapes are harvested in August at full ripeness and gently pressed. Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks, and after two-thirds of the fermentation, the must-wine is transferred to French oak barriques, where it remains on the lees for over ten months. The wine then undergoes a minimum of three months of bottle ageing.
 
The wine has a light golden color, a nose with fruity notes, subtle oak aromas, and Mediterranean hints, and a rich, soft structure.
