Quinta do Noval LBV Unfiltered 2014 Quinta do Noval LBV Unfiltered 2014 is a Late Bottled Vintage Port from a single year, produced exclusively from grapes grown at Quinta do Noval. The wine is treated much like a Vintage Port, with the grapes foot-trodden in the traditional lagares and the wine bottled without filtration after around five years in wooden casks. The 2014 vintage was challenging in the Douro, with a cool and relatively wet growing season. Despite the conditions, the grapes selected for the LBV showed good concentration and freshness, resulting in a structured and balanced wine. A powerful and fresh LBV with ripe dark fruit, cocoa, spice and firm tannins, supported by lively acidity and a long finish. Contains natural sediment and should be decanted before serving.
