Quinta do Noval Colheita 1997 sits in a more generous, open-knit style within the Colheita spectrum. Fully developed through extended cask ageing, but showing more breadth and sweetness of fruit than older, more tension-driven vintages.
The profile is rich and layered: dried apricot, fig, toffee, roasted nuts and warm spice, with a rounded oxidative character. The palate is supple and broad, with integrated sweetness and moderate acidity, giving less drive but more immediate appeal.
Texturally polished and accessible, finishing long and mellow. A more hedonistic, expansive Colheita, favouring richness and approachability over precision and tension.
