Julien Schaal Riesling Grand Cru Rangen "Volcanique" 2024

Sourced from the legendary Rangen de Thann, the southernmost and only truly volcanic Grand Cru in Alsace, this Riesling draws its power and character from steep basalt and volcanic tuff soils. The result is a wine of striking tension, smoky, mineral and vibrant, with layers of citrus, wet stone and a subtle touch of spice. The extreme slopes allow only hand harvesting and yield very small quantities, with production barely exceeding 1,300 bottles per year.
