El Enemigo Semillon

El Enemigo Semillon

€22.95Price

Widely regarded as one of Argentina’s leading wine labels, El Enemigo was founded by Catena Zapata’s chief winemaker Alejandro Vigil and historian Adrianna Catena, daughter of famed winemaker Nicolas Catena. The project was conceived after Nicolas received the Decanter Man of the Year Award in London.

This Semillon is sourced from high altitude vineyards in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, where intense sunlight and cool nights produce ripe yet perfectly balanced grapes with freshness and aromatics. The fruit is gently pressed, fermented with wild yeasts and aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, resulting in a rich, creamy wine with tropical fruit flavours and subtle notes of toasted oak, vanilla and spice.
