Donnafugata Ben Ryé Passito di Pantelleria Demi 37,5cl 2022

Donnafugata Ben Ryé is a sweet Passito di Pantelleria DOC made from 100% Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria). The wine comes from Pantelleria, a small volcanic island in the Mediterranean Sea, located south-west of Sicily, between Sicily and Tunisia. The vineyards are planted on terraced slopes with low-trained alberello bush vines; this highly labour-intensive cultivation method is recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. The grapes are harvested by hand and partly sun-dried according to the traditional passito method, followed by ageing in stainless steel and further bottle ageing. Ben Ryé is internationally regarded as a benchmark wine of the Passito di Pantelleria appellation.
