With age, Sauternes transforms from opulent sweetness into profound complexity. Its golden fruit giving way to layers of honey, wax, spice and quiet oxidation. What remains is not richness, but harmony.
Château Rabaud‑Promis is a Premier Grand Cru Classé (First Growth) in the 1855 Sauternes classification. Located in Bommes, its 33 hectares are planted mainly with Sémillon (~80 %), Sauvignon Blanc (~18 %) and Muscadelle (~2 %). Grapes are hand‑harvested in multiple passes to select botrytised berries. Fermented in stainless steel and partly in oak, then aged 12–18 months in oak, the wine shows ripe apricot, honey, and floral notes, with freshness and elegance balancing its sweetness.
