With age, Sauternes transforms from opulent sweetness into profound complexity. Its golden fruit giving way to layers of honey, wax, spice and quiet oxidation. What remains is not richness, but harmony.

Château Nairac is classified as Deuxième Cru Classé (2nd Growth) in the 1855 ranking of the Sauternes/Barsac region. Situated in the commune of Barsac, the estate covers around 17 hectares planted predominantly with Sémillon, supported by Sauvignon Blanc and a small proportion of Muscadelle. The vineyard lies on Barsac’s signature red-tinged limestone plateau, offering a mix of limestone and light gravel that lends natural freshness and tension. Grapes are picked entirely by hand in multiple selective passes to capture only botrytis-affected berries. Fermentation and ageing take place in French oak barrels, producing a sweet white wine noted for its precision, lifted citrus-driven profile and elegant richness rather than overt weight.
