With age, Sauternes transforms from opulent sweetness into profound complexity. Its golden fruit giving way to layers of honey, wax, spice and quiet oxidation. What remains is not richness, but harmony.

Château Lamothe‑Guignard is a Deuxième Cru Classé (Second Growth) in the 1855 Sauternes classification. Located on high gravel‑rich plateaux above the Ciron river, its 18 hectares are planted mainly with Sémillon (~90 %), Sauvignon Blanc (~5 %) and Muscadelle (~5 %). Hand-harvested in successive passes to select botrytised grapes, the wine is vinified traditionally and aged in French oak barrels. It produces a sweet Sauternes with ripe stone fruit, honeyed aromas, bright acidity, and subtle minerality, balancing richness without excess.
