Belondrade Les Parcelles 2021

The most exclusive wine from the Belondrade estate — released only when the family considers it ready, with no fixed production schedule. The 2021 is the third edition; the 2020 harvest was never released.

The wine is sourced from two old-vine plots on the Quinta San Diego estate in La Seca: La Cruz (50+ years, clay and pebble soils) and La Alameda (70+ years, sandy soils, bush-trained vines). Both plots were acquired in 2016 and are vinified separately. 100% Verdejo. Aged 18 months in used French oak barrels, followed by three years of bottle ageing before release.

The 2021 shows ripe yellow fruit, pollen and herbs on the nose. Full and opulent on the palate, with an almost oily texture balanced by mineral freshness. Long, dry finish with layers that continue to develop in the glass.
