Quinta do Noval Colheita 2007
Quinta do Noval Colheita 2007 95/100 points in Falstaff – Peter Moser 94/100 points in Jeb Dunnuck 93/100 points in Wine Spectator All our Quinta do Noval Colheita bottles were purchased directly from Quinta do Noval as first-hand stock, with known provenance and storage history. No secondary-market bottles, just the reassurance that these rare Colheitas have been properly kept and are in excellent condition. Quinta do Noval Colheita is a single-vintage Tawny Port produced from grapes grown at the Quinta do Noval estate. Unlike Vintage Port, it matures for many years in old wooden barrels, allowing the wine to develop complexity while retaining the character of the original vintage. The 2007 Colheita is intensely concentrated and aromatic, with a rich combination of spice, liquorice, toasted almond and youthful fruit. Citrus notes, minerality and a velvety texture bring freshness and balance to the wine. Noval's Technical Director Carlos Agrellos describes the 2007 as “wonderful and seductive to drink now.” The result is a rich and complex Colheita, combining dried and fresh fruit with toasted nut, spice and citrus character, supported by excellent freshness and a long, balanced finish. The 2007 Colheita was aged in old 640-litre wooden barrels before bottling.
