The long ageing in wood gradually concentrates the wine through evaporation while developing the complex nutty, dried-fruit and oxidative character associated with very old Tawny Port. The blend brings together wines of exceptional age and complexity, with prolonged maturation allowing the fruit to evolve into layers of dried apricot, fig, walnut, caramel, orange peel and spice. Despite its age, the wine retains the freshness and precision that are characteristic of Quinta do Noval. The result is a remarkably complex and refined Tawny, combining concentrated dried fruit, toasted nuts and caramel with citrus freshness, delicate spice and an exceptionally long finish.
