Cantina Terlan Winkl Sauvignon Blanc
Winkl is Cantina Terlano's single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc, produced continuously since 1956 — one of the longest-running Sauvignon Blanc bottlings in Alto Adige. Sourced from old vineyards in the Terlano DOC, where the combination of porphyry and quartz soils at altitude gives the variety a distinctive mineral edge.
Hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel, then aged 7–8 months on the lees: 80% in tank, 20% in large oak barrels. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc that leads with fruit — citrus, white peach, a hint of elderflower — but finishes with the saline minerality the Terlano terroir is known for.
